Freddy De Pues became a High School teacher with a major in French and minors in History and English in 1970. He taught French, Latin, and history, in Germany and in Belgium where he became a secondary school principal. Later on, he moved to Louisiana, in 1991, where he worked, most of the time, as a High School French teacher or a College adjunct professor. He wrote the first French novel to be published in Louisiana in the last 150 years. The story takes place in Hawaii and in Louisiana.
